Prospect United Methodist Church offers worship service based on the Wesleyan tradition. Services are held at 10:40 am in the main sanctuary. These services feature the hymns that our faith was founded on. The services include acts of praise, confession, thanksgiving, proclamation, and dedication. The sermons are biblically based and throughout the year the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Locklear also conducts a series of sermons that deal with current issues and topics concerning the family in the month of January.

As a means to prepare, foster, and promote involvement of our young people within our services, Prospect United Methodist Church conducts a Post High Lead Service once a year as well as a Youth Lead Service. This service enables our future church leaders the opportunity to plan and conduct a service which provides the congregation with a younger prospective on worship and groom them for their role as the church of tomorrow.

Lastly, Prospect United Methodist Church observes Heritage Sunday once a year normally during the month of November, as a way to honor and recognize the contributions of our senior citizens who have helped shape and sustain our church. Our senior citizens are responsible for leading the service as they reflect on their rich heritage.

Children's Church is held every 1st and 3rd Sunday immediately after the Children's Sermonette during the traditional worship service. Children are introduced to our worship by participating with their parents for the first portion of the 10:40 am worship service. Immediately following the children's sermonette, the children are escorted to children's church by our volunteers who then teach the children various lessons based on bible stories to also include craft time.
