Wednesday Family Night

Beginning a few minutes before 6:00 in the Sanctuary for a time of Music and Prayer, and then moving to the fellowship hall for a church family meal, Family Night is an important part of the Prospect Church community. Following the meal, everyone breaks off into age appropriate classes, and each group rotates into the choir room for the following Choir rehearsals:

Young Children’s Choir (Pre-K- 1st Grade)

This choir is about allowing children to use their natural excitement for music to give praise to God through simple songs, as well as learning the basics of music-making.

Children’s Choir (Grades 2-5)

This choir sings selections from many styles including contemporary praise music. In this group the children build upon basic skills to learn simple harmonies, and to better understand how singing is an important part of worship.

Youth Choir (Grades 6-12)

The Youth Choir is a large group who, together, powerfully declare the truth of God in song. Singing mostly contemporary music which touches their lives, this group prepares teens to become more involved in the ministries of the church through commitments to rehearsals and singing engagements.

Faithful Voices

The Faithful Voices is a group of Young Adults, many of whom are college students or recent graduates, just beginning their careers. This group meets to discuss issues of transition as they strive to live as effective Christian Adults. They are very committed to this choir, despite many of them being members of the Chancel Choir and other ministries in the church. The desire to be an impact on their world is seen in their actions and heard in the sound of their voices as they sing together.
